• The emblematic Tenerife course will host the best golfers of the Ladies European Tour from the 5th to the 8th of June in an event that establishes Tenerife as an international golf landmark.

Abama Golf, located in the municipality of Guía de Isora, will host the Tenerife Women’s Open 2025, a tournament that will take place from 5 to 8 June and will bring together the best players on the Ladies European Tour (LET). The event returns as one of the most important events of the season, consolidating Tenerife as an essential destination for elite golf.

Designed by the prestigious architect Dave Thomas, Abama Golf is characterised by its exceptional technical design, which combines wide fairways, challenging greens and strategic obstacles that will put the best golfers on the circuit to the test. In addition, its course stands out for the variety of soils, 22 lakes interconnected by impressive waterfalls, white sand bunkers and a landscape adorned with more than 25,000 palm trees, creating a spectacular environment both aesthetically and in terms of play. Its privileged location, with spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean, the island of La Gomera and an unbeatable climate, makes this course a unique enclave for the practice of golf.

‘We are delighted to host the Tenerife Women’s Open in 2025. Abama Golf has been designed to offer a high-level technical challenge in a spectacular setting. This tournament is an unbeatable opportunity to showcase the excellence of our course and strengthen Tenerife’s connection with international women’s golf,’ says Brendan Breen, Director of Abama Golf.

The Abama Golf course, par 72 and with a length of 6,271 metres, stands out for its integration into the natural landscape, surrounded by native flora and a carefully designed landscape. Since its inauguration, it has been a benchmark for golf in the Canary Islands, attracting both amateurs and professional players. Abama Golf also has first class facilities, such as a golf academy, a practice area and an exclusive clubhouse that complement the visitors’ experience.

Tenerife, with its rich tradition in women’s golf, has hosted numerous LET tournaments since 2002, including nine consecutive editions of the Tenerife Women’s Open. Emblematic venues such as Golf del Sur, Buenavista Golf, Golf Las Américas and Golf Costa Adeje have witnessed the victories of great figures such as Raquel Carriedo, Felicity Johnson or Trish Johnson. In this edition, Abama Golf will be the protagonist again, hosting a tournament that promises to be one of the most exciting of the season.

The Tenerife Women’s Open 2025 will offer three hours of live television coverage daily, reaching 87 countries and up to 144 million households. This international visibility underlines the relevance of the event and reinforces the projection of Tenerife as a leading sports tourism destination.

In addition to the sporting spectacle, the tournament will be an opportunity for visitors to discover the wonders of the island. Tenerife, known as ‘the island of eternal spring’, offers a unique experience that combines a privileged climate, excellent gastronomy and a wide range of cultural and leisure activities. With nine top-level golf courses, Tenerife has established itself as a key destination for golf lovers.
